Get Ready for RRFC’s 2024 Burns Night
The Final Countdown!
There’s only one week to go!!
We’ve had some tickets returned, and sold a few more, and at this point we have 6 available – so if you would like more tickets please head over to Eventbrite and snap them up before they sell out again.
Many thanks to everyone who has provided their raffle prizes, guest information, and menu choices. Speaking of the raffle, our Rally Up page is now available so please do pop over there and buy some tickets ahead of time – and why not share amongst your network as there’s no need to be at the event to claim your prizes. We’ve already got over 35 prizes and they continue to come in. Don’t forget to check if you have anything you’d like to donate.
Don’t forget that the event starts at 6pm, so don’t be late! Reminder of details are below.
- Key Timings: Bar and clubhouse open at 18:00; Amuse Bouche (in lieu of a call to seats) at 18:45; Piping in the haggis at 19:00 followed immediately by the starter. From there it’s all downhill and the dancing will start as close to 21:00 as possible. As usual, these timings will go out of the window from the moment the whisky comes out.
- Table layout: We will have three banquet-style tables in the clubhouse rather than last year’s circular tables.
- Dancing: We will make way for the dance floor after supper and recitals. The tables nearest the band will be removed from 21:15 and these tables will be clearly marked. If you’re young and nimble, you stand a very high chance of being seated in this area.
- Venue: Romsey Rugby Club, Ganger Farm Sports Pavilion, SO51 0EE. Please note that the venue is upstairs, and toilets are downstairs. If this causes any issues, please reach out.
- Dress code: Dress: Kilts Black Tie, Dinner Suits, Evening Dresses with dancing shoes…
- Wine on table & Welcome drink: Oh yes, of course! Many thanks to our generous sponsors, Cocky Anchor and Parker Bullen for making this possible.
- Tartan will be available for purchase from behind the bar for anyone who doesn’t have tartan or needs some more!
