Our seniors host Poole in their first pre-season fixture ahead of the 2026/27 season.
With the 2026/27 rugby season fast approaching, the seniors take on Poole at Ganger Farm on Saturday in their first pre-season fixture, with kick-off at 2pm.
The squad have spent the last few weeks training twice a week in preparation for this fixture and will be looking to start pre-season with a positive performance.
Several new players have joined the club throughout the summer, boosting the squad both in the forward line and the back line. Saturday’s clash with Poole will provide an opportunity for these new players to show their skills in a competitive environment for the first time.
1st XV coach Jason Berry’s pre-match thoughts:
Berry: “We don’t know anything about Poole. I think it’s just about getting some minutes into the lads, and see if what we’ve done in training can be taken into a game.
“We’ve got 32 players available, so getting that balance of game time for everyone is going to be interesting.”
